Jake plays Sparticus

We are sitting in the Kowloon Peninsula whilst writing this postcard, it is such an exciting place and filled with shops, temples, markets and restaurants. Hong Kong is a city which has everything – a busy centre with masses of people, amazing skylines, a harbour filled with boats and also peaceful parks which you can relax in and get away from all the usual noises of the city.

We are performing in Sparticus with the Hong Kong Ballet. It is a historic epic of a slave uprising in ancient Rome but also a romantic love story. We are rehearsing very hard during the day and performing most evenings. The food is different to anything we have ever tasted before but it is delicious. It is great that most dishes are served with rice as it is keeping up our energy levels.

During our spare time we have managed to learn about some Century old Chinese Traditions & been on some fascinating city tours. Did you know Hong Kong is made up of 235 islands and one of these Islands has the largest Buddha in the world!

Take care
